University of South Florida College Republicans v. Lutnick
The National Redistricting Foundation (NRF) is supporting individual voters and an organization, the Alliance for Retired Americans, in filing a Motion to Intervene as defendants in a case filed by the America First Legal Foundation, which challenges various methods the Census Bureau used to conduct the 2020 Census. On February 3, 2026, the court dismissed the case without prejudice and leave to amend. The court concluded that the plaintiffs’ claims were time-barred by the four-year statute of limitations. The plaintiffs have since filed an amended complaint with the same deficient claims, and accordingly the NRF-supported proposed intervenors have filed a motion to dismiss the complaint. A decision is pending.
